Abby & Chance Shoop

Abby was the light of my life. She taught me what love is and changed my life in many ways. I got her in 2011 when she was just a puppy needing to be rehomed. She was always timid and nervous around strangers, but she wasnt around me even when I was a stranger to her.

Abby is part spitz terrier and part schnauzer. She was so cuddly and sweet and always happy to greet me. She loved mostly every cat she ever met and became unlikely companions with our dog Chance who we got at 11 years old in 2018.

Chance was a shitzu and lahso apso found roaming the streets for weeks before anyone could catch him! I will never forget first seeing his goofy little teeth on the animal control site and just knowing how badly I needed him. He stole my heart instantly. We knew his birthday and his name and breed due to his microchip but the previous owners didnt want him back. I cant imagine why, he was such a hilarious and sweet little dude. An absolute fashion icon as well. Never knew a sweater he didnt like. Although he was blind in his last year or so, he never had any issues finding a lap to cuddle on or finding his way to lay next to Abby or his kitty friend who acted like a weighted blanket. Snuggling close and keeping each other feeling safe.

Chance left us just 2 weeks before Abby. I beleive Abby died of a broken heart.

They are together again, free of pain, arthritis andyoung again, running and playing. They both will be deeply missed and hold a very special place with me. I think about them both every day. I miss you babies. Ill never forget you.
