Emmett Wagner

Emmett came into my life as a sort of impulse adoption at 3 months of age, and he stayed with me for the next 16 years. He was undeniably and irresistibly cute with the softest fur and brown eyes, that would lure in almost everyone, only to bark and lunge when they got too close. He taught me so much about dog behavior, acceptance and companionship. He was a joyful, funny, yet anxious boy. He loved running through the woods like a wild animal, splashing through streams, and chasing chippies at the lake. He loved skipping over the rocks, wading in the waves, and playing tug with rockweed on the shore. He ate blueberries off the bush, plucked dandelions off their stems, and munched tall grass like a cow. He took us for countless walks, loved rides in the boat, and sleeping under the spruce trees at camp. We will miss his soft head, his upright tail and his smile. His Flea cat will be lost without him. We hope that his older sister Sydney will be waiting for him and take care of him until we get there.
