Duke Polk
Duke came into our lives like a wrecking ball. He was full of energy, mischief, and heart. At just six months old, he was adopted by my daughter’s grandmother, but his boundless spirit proved to be more than expected. Wanting to keep him in the family, Nick and I brought him home and the adventure began.
In those early days, Duke kept us on our toes, destroying crates, remotes, TVs, phones, even cars. But as time passed, the chaos gave way to companionship, and Duke grew into the heartbeat of our home. For 12 unforgettable years, he filled our lives with laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love.
Duke loved hiking, running at full speed, steak dinners, squeaky toys, and cuddling with his cat sibling, Lenny. Most of all, he was the most devoted fur brother to our daughter, Olivia, her gentle giant and fiercest protector.
Our home feels quieter now, and our hearts ache in his absence. Duke will always be remembered for the joy he brought and the love he gave so freely. He wasn’t just a pet, he was family. He will be forever missed.
